Web designer urges business owners to create website

A web designer, Abiodun Oluwatosin, said on Friday that creating website address for a Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can serve as a bridge between them and their target audience. Oluwatosin made this known in Abuja.
He said to make their businesses more visible, SMEs should obtain website addresses that would bridge the gap between them and their target audience.
“With the trend of things in the world now, every individual and small business has one thing or the other to do on the web and it makes it a good tool to reach reasonable number of people at very little cost.
“It is necessary for start-ups to own their websites as it is far better and cheaper than the traditional means of reaching out to their clients.
“SMEs can leverage on this for their clients to see them out there because it could be very expensive to do the traditional radio and television publication.
“But with the website, it is a room for you to bridge the cyber optic level to attract customers and address some challenges.
“In today’s world, SMEs must think globally, you cannot have a business without having a website; it gives you room to get that cyber presence needed at cheaper and most friendly rate.”
Oluwatosin therefore called on SMEs to see the global benefits in owning websites rather than believing it was only for big and established businesses.
He said the scope of SMEs and spread could really be enhanced by a web address because different categories of audiences were exposed to it.
He said that some people just went to the web not for any particular reason, and when they came across such products, they might purchase for trials.
He therefore called on young entrepreneurs to invest in website creation because the advantages and edge it would give to their businesses were enormous.
