The Nigerian Presidency has denied any rift between President Muhammadu Buhari and Lawmakers and also also adds that the Executives are not seeking any confrontation with the parliament despite his refusal to sign the amended Electoral Act Bill nor  is he against the use of card readers in the forthcoming elections. The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, who stated this in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, said the president’s decision to decline assent to the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2018, had nothing to do with the use of card readers. The presidential aide expressed the readiness of Buhari to sign the Electoral Act after effecting all the necessary corrections, adding that he (President Buha...

The body language from the Presidency until recently, had shown that the relationship between President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu as seen depicted to many Nigerians had gone sour. The reason behind such development was better imagined. Now, the rejected stone, has suddenly become the corner piece of rebirth, rejuvenation and definitely reconciliation. His appointment has been praised by many as long over due yet timely in face of the many lingering crisis in the party. But, what Augean stables has the All Progressives Congress, APC, turned into in the past two and half years of its being at the host in Aso Rock? Starting at the top, the rift between the Executives and Legislature had and is still affecting governance. The particularly, between the Presidency and the National Assembly. Many nominees of President Muhammad...
