Tinubu, the rejected stone now APC's Mr. FIx it

It is an open secret to political conscious Nigerians that the brain behind the merger that produced President Muhammadu Buhari goes by the title Asiwaju. The body language from the Presidency until recently, had shown that the relationship between President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu as seen depicted to many Nigerians had gone sour. The reason behind such development was better imagined.

Now, the rejected stone, has suddenly become the corner piece of rebirth, rejuvenation and definitely reconciliation. His appointment has been praised by many as long over due yet timely in face of the many lingering crisis in the party. But, what Augean stables has the All Progressives Congress, APC, turned into in the past two and half years of its being at the host in Aso Rock?

Starting at the top, the rift between the Executives and Legislature had and is still affecting governance.

The particularly, between the Presidency and the National Assembly. Many nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari are still pending. Worthy of note are those of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, which has not been able to form a quorum for the Monetary Policy Committee since the last quarter of 2017.

Bauchi State.
This also revolves round the Executives and lawamkers. Here, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and three Senators, namely, Yakubu Dogara, Ali WAkili, ISa Hamma Misau and Nizifi Gamawa respectively are qurreling with Governor Mohammed Abubakar that he had reneged on his campaign promises.

Kano state.
The fight between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and his former principal officer,Rabiu Kwankwaso has lingered to a degrading level the recently the Presidency had lawmakers had to intervene. Ganduje recently said no reconciliation can happen, between the two party leaders and that Kwankwaso would be replaced as senator by another fellow in 2019.

Kogi State.
This significantly the whole party sturcture in the state is in confusion.
The state Executives claim hat the incumbent Governor, Yahyah Bello has been running a one-man show. Another thorny issue between the Governor and the running mate of late Abubakar Audu, James Faleke who initially contested against Idris Wada of the PDP in 2015. And finally, the recent war of words from the Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye and Governor Bello is another dividing factor in the state.

Oyo state.
Succession led to the crisis in this state. Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, intends to be the next governor while the Incumbent Governor Ajibola Ajumobi has, if he wants to follow 'Tradition' an anointed candidate. This is the bane of contention.

Katsina State.
APC Akida, a movement in the state led by Mohammed Liman, Kabir Murja, Sadiq Yar'Adua, Abubakar Samaila and Abbas Machika has been a thorn in the flesh of Governor Aminu Masari. The splinter group stays that the party structure had been hijacked by money bags and the people are being short changed. The accusations literally undermines Masari.

Kaduna state.
Governor Nasir el Rufai has a divided state. The Senator, representing kaduna Central, Shehu Sani is one of his main sparing partners who has not just the youths on his side both part of the old guards. Such as the former kaduna state APC chairman, Hakeem Baba Ahmed.

Zamfara State.
Issues bothering political appointees, killings in the state etc have led to the face off between Governor Abdul Aziz Yari and the Senator, representing Zamfara central, kabiru Marafa. The climax of it came some days ago, when an aide of Governor Yari said the Senator is dead politically and even declared his seat vacant, come 2019.

Suggested solutions.

To avoid implosion in the All Progressives Congress, APC, some give and take could play out. Staring with the Senate leadership. The plan or rather suggested moves to unseat Bukola Saraki would die a natural death and his case at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, ends.

Another possibility that could calm most nerves would be to grant automatic tickets to all lawmakers of both the Senate and House of Representatives. This would further forge a sense of unity, though it would have to be done at the State primaries and they in turn work with the governors to ensure their re-election or the election of their chosen candidates.

These are still hinged on the fact that the Tinubu and his team (when he selects them) must have an open mind and reach out to other individuals in the concerned States and nation, even the president may have a role to play to end all these problems.
