Another Building Collapses in Bariga, Lagos
Information gathered at the scene revealed that the incident occurred at about 07:00hrs West African Time. Initial assessment shows that the building collapsed as a result of being distressed to because of lack of maintenance over the years. On arrival at the incident site of the accident, we noted that the collapsed structure was an old two storey building with a penthouse.
However, there is no loss of life but an adult male who was trapped was rescued by the Emergency Responders which include the (LASEMA)Agency’s Response Team, LASG Fire service, Nigerian Police and LASAMBUS.
Rescue operations ongoing and the building has been cordoned and sealed off to prevent any other secondary incident and the occupants of the adjoining buildings have been advised to stay away from the building and its environs.
